Man Charged in Manhattan Stabbing Death: NYPD

Police have accused a 24-year-old man of killing an 18-year-old who was found leaning against a Manhattan light pole with a puncture wound in his head.

Jesus Tapia died from his injuries at a hospital after police found him slumped at West 145th Street and Broadway, in the Hamilton Heights neighborhood, on Oct. 25 while responding to a stabbing call.

Wednesday, police arrested Luis Guzman, charging the man with murder. Sources told the NYPD that the killing might have been linked to tensions between rival street crews.

It’s not known whether Guzman has an attorney.
