Man Breaks into Manhattan Newsstand, Steals Scratch-Off Tickets: NYPD

Police are looking for a man who broke into a Manhattan newsstand, and stole cash and scratch-off lottery tickets.

The man broke the front lock to the newsstand at 509 Madison Avenue in Midtown North at about 1 a.m. on June 28, according to the NYPD.

He took an undetermined amount of cash and lottery tickets, police said. The next day, the man cashed in three of the stolen tickets at a deli on Southern Boulevard in the Bronx for $10, $20 and $50, according to police.

Police released surveillance photos of the man while he was at the deli (above). Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
