The woman known as the “Manhattan Madam” whose escort operation was shut down in the wake of the Eliot Spitzer prostitution scandal told police that she was sexually assaulted on Friday.
Kristen Davis, a former madam who was jailed for three months on prostitution-related charges, told police that she was attacked in her Queens apartment by a man who had followed her home and had asked to carry her groceries, the Daily News reported.
She said her attacker had followed a neighbor through the gate to her apartment, and that he was dressed in expensive clothing.
The Daily News said that it does not usually publish the names of sexual assault victims but that Davis had sent out a press release on the assault.
Davis has been promoting a new book that when published may out her former clients, according to The News.
