A 17-year-old and a 14-year-old were shot on a Brooklyn street near a high school Tuesday afternoon, authorities say.
The teenagers were shot on the corner of Bushwick Avenue and Grand Street in East Williamsburg, near Grand Street Campus High School, at about 3 p.m., according to police.
Surveillance video from a bodega at the intersection of the shooting shows frightened students running into the store to get away from flying bullets fired by the gunman, who appeared to be shooting at another teen.
The bullets instead hit a 14-year-old girl in the arm and a 17-year-old boy in the leg.
Witness Anthony Garcia saw emergency responders bringing the boy over to one side of the street.
"He was hysterical, they put him in an ambulance," he said.
Both teens were taken to Bellevue Hospital in serious but stable condition.

No arrest has been made.
There was heavy police presence -- including K-9 units and a hostage negotiator -- at 200 Throop Ave. later in the night, a few blocks from the shooting, and people were not being allowed inside the housing development at one point. Police would not confirm they were looking for a suspect, but said no one was found in a search of the building.
Neighbors said violence among teens after school happens almost every day.
"There are fights all the time out here," said Garcia. "School safety does their job, they're real good, but these kids are out of control."
