Police are looking for a man wanted in the attempted rape of a 36-year-old woman Friday in Brooklyn.
The victim was walking along Star Street near Irving Avenue just before 1 a.m. when the suspect approached her from behind and grabbed her by the waist, police said.
He then threw her to the ground and sexually assaulted her with his hand, according to police. The victim resisted and screamed for help, causing a nearby resident to call out from his window and the suspect to flee.
The victim was taken to Woodhull Hospital where she was evaluated and released.
Police have released surveillance images of the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
