Man Threatens to Burn Jersey Shore Police Station: Cops

Police say a man threatened to kill officers and burn down a Jersey shore police station after his arrest on a trespassing warrant.

Ryan Nesbitt is charged with aggravated assault on law enforcement, terroristic threats, and resisting arrest in connection with Saturday's incident in Stone Harbor.

Police tell the Press of Atlantic City the 24-year-old Nesbitt scratched and scraped officers after they found him climbing a fence at a construction site.

They say he spat repeatedly in the police car and urinated and spat in his holding cell and the cell block area.

Nesbitt was also charged with obstruction, criminal mischief and defiant trespassing.

He's jailed at the Cape May County Jail in lieu of $25,000. Information on his lawyer wasn't immediately available.
