    Suffolk County Police Department
Police say this man stole a donation jar containing about $500 from a Lindenhurst animal hospital.

Police are looking for a man they say took a jar containing about $500 in donations from a Long Island animal hospital.

The man took the jar from the counter of Babylon Animal Hospital on Montauk Highway in Lindenhurst last June and police are now asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

After taking the jar, police say the man fled in a dark Ford Explorer.

The stolen money was being raised for Miley, an Italian Greyhound that needed surgery for bone deformities. Miley has since had the surgery.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
