Man Stabbed to Death, Daughter, 14, Suspected

Police say a Westchester County man was found stabbed to death with a carving knife at his home, and his 14-year-old daughter is a suspect.

Police Chief Joseph Krzeminski tells the Journal News that the man's 14-year-old daughter called 911 at about 5:25 a.m. Sunday to report that there had been a break-in and that someone had stabbed her father.

He said police found Anthony Guglielmo in a pool of blood in his bedroom at the Port Chester home on Mortimer Street.

Police also found an open window, a cut screen and a garbage can under the window. Krzeminski said police believe the scene was staged to look like a break-in.

He said police believe Guglielmo was stabbed sometime between 1:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m., a few hours before the girl called police.

He said the teenager was questioned and gave inconsistent statements, but was later released to her mother. The parents were divorced, and the girl lived with her father.
