Man Shot Through Front Door of Long Island Home

A Long Island man is recovering after he was shot through a closed door in his home early Sunday morning, authorities said.

According to police, there was a knock at the front door of the home on Dixon Avenue in Copiague, and then several shots were fired through the door. Aaron Goodman, a resident at the home, was struck once in the abdomen.

Goodman was rushed to a nearby hospital where was he was treated for non-life threatening injuries, officials said.
