Police are investigating the shooting of a man outside the Westin Hotel in Times Square this morning, authorities said.
The victim was shot in the chest and taken to St. Vincent's Hospital in critical condition, according to fire officials.
The shooting occurred on West 43rd Street and Eighth Avenue around 5.25 p.m.
No arrests have been made, but a man was seen running eastbound, wearing a red-hooded sweatshirt and carrying red gym bag, authorities said.
