Police are looking for a man who threatened a Bronx Rite Aid employee with a knife, then reached over the counter and took more than $400 from the register on Sunday.
The man walked into the drug store on Baychester Avenue in Wakefield just after 11 p.m. and pointed the knife at the 22-year-old employee, demanding she open the register, the NYPD said.
The suspect then reached over the counter and took $439 before taking off and running eastbound on Baychester Avenue.
No one was injured.
Police released surveillance video of the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
