Stranger Pushes Man Onto Subway Tracks in Manhattan, Flees

Authorities are looking for a man who allegedly pushed another man onto the subway tracks at a Lower East Side station Wednesday.

Police say the 58-year-old victim was standing on the platform at the East Broadway station shortly before 4 a.m. when a stranger pushed him to the tracks, then fled on a Brooklyn-bound F train.

The victim managed to pull himself back to the platform. He was taken to a hospital to be checked out, but is expected to be OK.

Subway riders said they were alarmed by the attack.

No arrests have been made.
