Man Kills Friend During Roadside Argument on Way Back From ZZ Top Concert: Prosecutors

A northern New Jersey man has been indicted in the slaying of a friend who was killed during a roadside argument as they drove home from a ZZ Top concert.

The Record reports that 53-year-old Jared Clackner faces an aggravated manslaughter charge in the death of 61-year-old William Kenning.

Authorities have said Henning apparently crashed into a guardrail on the way back from the concert and the two men got into an altercation. Henning had signs of blunt force trauma and at least three broken ribs, but authorities have not said what caused his death.

Clackner allegedly told police he hit the victim as hard as he could more than once.

His attorney, Brian Neary, says Clackner will plead not guilty.
