Man Killed, Bystander Wounded in NJ Shooting

23-year-old Lamar Glover was killed in the shooting, which occurred around 4 p.m. Saturday in the area of Randolph Avenue and Harmon Street

Prosecutors say a Georgia man was killed and another person was wounded when gunfire erupted on a northern New Jersey street this weekend.

But a motive for Saturday afternoon's shooting in Jersey City remained unclear on Sunday.

Acting Hudson County Prosecutor Guy Gregory tells The Jersey Journal that 23-year-old Lamar Glover was killed in the shooting, which occurred around 4 p.m. Saturday in the area of Randolph Avenue and Harmon Street. Gregory said Glover was staying with friends in the Jersey City area, but would not disclose further details on him or the shooting.

The wounded bystander, whose name was not disclosed, was hit in the leg. Gregory said the person was treated at a hospital and the wound was not considered life-threatening.
