Man Gets Away With Thousands in Queens Gas Station Robberies: Police

A man held up at least three different gas stations in Queens within a few days last month, getting away with several thousand dollars in cash, police say.

The three robberies happened in the early morning hours from May 27 and May 30, according to the NYPD.

Cops say on May 27 the suspect, armed with a gun, walked into a Conoco gas station in Laurelton and demanded money from the worker. The employee handed over $100 in cash and the man ran away.

About an hour later at 7 a.m., the same man walked up to a clerk at a Lukoil gas station in Laurelton and told him to hand over money. The worker gave in and the suspect fled the area on foot with about $3,000 in cash, officials said.

Three days later, the same man demanded money from a Gulf gas station and fled with $400 in cash, authorities said.

Police on Thursday released surveillance footage of the suspect in the hopes of catching him before he strikes again.
