Authorities say a 63-year-old resident was found dead with severe trauma and burns to the body after firefighters extinguished a fire inside a Queens apartment.
The victim was discovered unconscious and unresponsive around 6 a.m. Friday inside the six-story building at 159th Street in Flushing.
He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
