A man crashed his car into a police cruiser on Long Island after a reported home invasion, authorities and witnesses say.
Police responded to a house on Morris Avenue in Holtsville.
Video from the scene shows a man being wheeled away on a stretcher. It was not immediately clear if that man was the one who crashed into police.
A neighbor told NBC 4 New York that police told her the man was wanted for a home invasion in the area and took off into her backyard, where a police dog tracked him down.
“It was just chaotic,” neighbor Christina Powers said on the scene. “There were cops up and down the street. This is a quiet neighborhood, nothing really ever goes on.”
The neighbor said police told her the man fought with police and used a Taser on him.
It was not immedialtly clear if there were any other injuries.
