Man Claims Jersey Devil Sighting in Galloway Township

A New Jersey resident has reported seeing the fabled winged creature known as the Jersey Devil while on his drive home from work.

Little Egg Harbor Township resident Dave Black tells NJ.com he was driving down Route 9 in Galloway from his security guard job in Atlantic City when he saw what he thought was a llama running through the trees along the road.

But then, he claims something even stranger happened.

"If that wasn't enough, then it spread out leathery wings and flew off over the golf course," Black told NJ.com.

Black sent what he claims is a photo of the mythical demon to the news site, saying he didn’t Photoshop or stage the picture.

He admitted it could have been a bird that flew off with a large animal it picked up from the ground, but wouldn’t have been his first guess based on what he saw.

“I think I saw a large, flying mammal about the size of a deer,” Black said.
