A Long Island man is accused of stealing the contents of donation boxes at three churches.
Police said Bryan Balkon, of Huntington Station, was arrested Monday after workers at one church spotted him near a donation box and called police.
Balkon, 29, is set to be arraigned Tuesday on grand larceny and petit larceny charges. His attorney's name was not yet on record.
At one of the churches, Balkon allegedly also stole the pocketbook of a parishioner.
All the thefts occurred last month, according to police. They do not know how much was taken.
