Brooklyn Slasher, Already Serving 200 Years, to Be Sentenced in Final Stabbing

Maksim Gelman is already serving 200 years in prison for killing four people in a rampage of stabbings and carjackings.

A man already sentenced to 200 years in prison for killing four people in a rampage of stabbings and carjackings across New York City is facing sentencing for slashing a subway passenger at the end of his bloody spree.

Maksim Gelman is expected to get 25 years in prison Wednesday for the subway attack. The 24-year-old pleaded guilty last month to attempted murder for the subway stabbing. It happened in Manhattan.

The victim survived and helped knock Gelman down before police arrested Gelman.

Separately, Gelman admitted in Brooklyn to a string of killings and other violence that started with an argument over using his mother's car.

He killed his stepfather, a woman whose friends have said Gelman was obsessed with her, the woman's mother and a pedestrian Gelman ran over.
