MTA Employee Staged Robbery at Queens Subway Station: Police

An MTA employee was arrested Wednesday, accused of staging a robbery at the Queens subway stop where she worked as a station agent.

Tracy King originally told police she was tied up and held at gunpoint Saturday morning at the 111th Street station in Corona, while a gunman stole nearly $7,000 from a booth.

Police now say that King and an alleged accomplice, Anthony Brown, made up the whole scenario to cover up their own criminal activity.

Authorities said they've recovered about half of the stolen money.
