MTA Bus Rider Throws Urine Into Driver's Face: NYPD

A bus rider got into an argument with a driver in the Bronx and threw urine into the driver's face before running off the bus, police say. 

The suspect boarded the Bx12 at White Plains Road and Pelham Parkway with a 5-year-old boy on Thursday, Oct. 1 at about 5:15 p.m., according to police. He got into an argument with the driver, and when the bus pulled up to Pelham Bay station, the rider threw a vial of urine at the driver. 

The suspect then ran off the bus and fled westbound on Westchester Avenue with the boy, police said. 

The 58-year-old driver suffered irritation to his face and eyes, and was taken by EMS to Jacobi Hospital. 

The suspect is described as about 20 years old, 5 feet 8 inches and 180 pounds. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
