Look of Sheer Frustration as Subway Doors Close on Woman's Food

A straphanger gave a look of sheer disappointment after she tried -- and failed -- to catch a train as it was leaving a station by flinging a bag of food into the closing doors, a witness said.

The woman was trying to catch a Brooklyn-bound L train as it was about to pull out of an East Village station Monday night, passenger Edward Yoo, who took a photo of her effort, said.

The woman swung her bag of food into the doors, which then shut and wedged the bag, Yoo told NBC 4 New York in an email.

An MTA worker on the train eventually got the doors to open a crack, Yoo said. The woman's food then dropped to the subway platform and the train left the station.

"The girl's look was priceless," Yoo said in an email. "For as long as I've been taking the subway, I've never seen that happen."
