Long Island Man Arrested for Hosting Warehouse Party

Police said the crowded party was held in a Huntington Station warehouse with boarded-up windows, no fire alarms, sprinklers or proper exits

Suffolk County police say a man was arrested for hosting a party with more than 500 guests in an abandoned warehouse in Huntington Station.

Police said Saturday the crowded party was held in a warehouse with boarded-up windows, no fire alarms, sprinklers or proper exits. About 560 people were there.

Richard Hall, 47, was arrested on charges of criminal nuisance and was awaiting arraignment after police said he orchestrated the Friday night party. It wasn't clear if he had a lawyer and a business number associated with his address rang unanswered Saturday.

Police say they aren't sure whether the party was Halloween-themed.
