Long Island Substitute Teacher Had Child Porn Stash: Police

Francesco Santodonato was arrested Thursday

A Long Island substitute gym teacher is accused of having a stash of child pornography.

Francesco Santodonato, 39, who worked in the Huntington School District, pleaded not guilty Friday.

Prosecutors said they found photos and video of child pornography, and alleged he made recordings of videos of underage girls engaging in sex acts.

He allegedly told police he was addicted to porn.

There was no evidence of any physical contact between Santodonato and his students, police said.

His attorney, Chris Brocato, denied the charges, saying his client is "no danger to children and suggesting the pornography may have been loaded onto his computers via the internet without his knowledge.

He said the teacher, who is also an assistant football coach, is called "Mr. S" by his students, who love him.
