Long Island Robbers Paid for Pizza Before Beating Delivery Man: Police

Police are looking for two men who paid a Long Island pizza delivery man for an order Monday night before they put him in a headlock and beat and robbed him.

The men attacked the victim on Park Avenue in West Hempstead about 10 p.m., according to the Nassau County Police Department.

One of the suspects paid for the food while the other grabbed the delivery man from behind, police say. They tossed him to the ground and punched and kicked him in the face and body. Then, police say, they went through his pockets and stole cash and a smartphone.

After the attack, the suspects left the scene.

The delivery man had bruises and a cut to his hand but refused medical treatment, police say.
