Bicyclist Hit, Killed by Car on Long Island: Police

Police on Long Island say a bicyclist was hit and killed by a car Sunday night.

Suffolk County police say the victim was struck by a Lexus traveling northbound on Route 110 in North Amityville.

He was pronounced dead at a hospital. 

The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and was not injured.

The victim was not immediately identified.

Police say that additional vehicles may have been involved in a second crash involving the cyclist.
