A Long Island man is accused of hitting a police car while driving drunk.
Nassau County police say 27-year-old Joseph Garcia hit the marked police car at 4:30 a.m. Sunday in West Hempstead.
Newsday reports that Garcia was arrested on charges of assault, reckless endangerment, driving while intoxicated and imprudent speed.
An officer suffered neck and back pain and was treated at a hospital.
Information on the defendant's attorney was not immediately available.
