A Long Island woman was fatally stabbed Saturday by the father of one of her children before he attempted suicide, police said.
Sonja Williams, 32, was stabbed to death at about 2:30 p.m. in her West Babylon home, Suffolk County police said. Her two children, ages 5 and 12, weren't home at the time and are safe, detectives said.
A man, whom police didn't identify, was found at the scene with self-inflicted wounds, investigators said. He was taken to an area hospital and is expected to survive, they said.
