Long Island Man Arrested for Uncle's Murder

John Frankowski, of New Hyde Park, was reported missing by his son last Friday

A Long Island man has been arrested for the murder of his uncle, who was originally reported missing last week.

According to police, 71-year-old John Frankowski, of New Hyde Park, was reported missing by his son last Friday. While investigating the report, authorities said they determined that Frankowski had been murdered by his nephew, 42-year-old Jonathan Roman, after the two had an argument.

Frankowski's body was found buried in a wooded area behind his home.

Roman is being charged with second degree murder and will be arraigned Saturday.

Information on an attorney for Roman was not immediately available.
