Authorities are investigating the death of an inmate following a fight at the Nassau County jail on New York's Long Island.
Authorities say 26-year-old Antwan Brown of Long Beach died Saturday morning after getting into a fight with another inmate. He suffered contusions and was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The jail is run by the Nassau County Sheriff's Department.
Sheriff Michael Sposato tells Newsday the other inmate involved in the jailhouse quarrel could face charges.
Nassau County Correctional Center can house up to 1,500 inmates.
