Accused Long Island Drug Dealer Charged With Trying to Kill Cops

A Long Island man who tried to run over police officers after he was seen dealing drugs was charged with attempted murder, according to officials.

Dawshawn Combs, 26, allegedly tried to run over officers who were approaching him on Margaretta Avenue in Massapequa Thursday after he was seen selling crack cocaine, police said.

Combs, who escaped, was found and arrested Friday. He was charged with multiple counts of attempted murder and criminal possession and sale of a controlled substance.

Information on a lawyer for Combs was not immediately available.
