Long Island City Restaurant Burglar Smashes Doors, Windows: Police

Police in Queens are looking for a burglar who's been targeting popular restaurants and bars in Queens' Long Island City neighborhood in the overnight hours. 

On Sunday, June 22, the suspect broke a glass door to get into Manduatis Restaurant at 46-33 Vernon Blvd. between 1 and 8 a.m., and took two iPads, two iPad minis and $700 in cash, police said.

That Wednesday, June 25, the suspect broke a front door window between 2 and 7:30 a.m. to enter Woodbines Restaurant at 47-10 Vernon Blvd., and took an electronic tablet and $100 in cash. 

Then, sometime between 7 p.m. Friday, June 27 and 5:30 a.m. Monday, June 30, the suspect broke the front door glass of Seattle Cafe at 32-02 Queens Blvd. and took $850 in cash from two registers. 

And on July 4, after about 4 a.m., the suspect went into LIC Bar at 45-58 Vernon Blvd. through a window, but ran away without taking anything. 

The suspect is also being connected to a burglary on June 11, when he broke into Andres Pizza in Queensbridge and took $20 in cash.
