NJ Couple Found Dead in Home

Jefferson Township police found 47-year-old Alita Knott and 45-year-old Julian Knott at around 1:10 a.m. Saturday

A husband and wife have been found dead inside their northern New Jersey home, authorities said Sunday.

Jefferson Township police found 47-year-old Alita Knott and 45-year-old Julian Knott at around 1:10 a.m. Saturday, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp said. Officers had gone to the home following a report of two unconscious adults at the Log Road residence.

Knapp said an investigation did not reveal any evidence of "outside intrusion" into the home, adding that there's "no cause for concern" to the community. But further details on the deaths were not released.

Knapp said the investigation is ongoing.
