A livery cab driver is fighting for his life after being shot in the Bronx early Sunday morning.
Marcos Villegas was shot in the back at around 3 a.m., while driving on Cypress Avenue, a spokesman for the Taxi Federation said.
The NYPD is reviewing images taken from a camera inside the cab at the time of the shooting.
Villegas has been driving a cab for the last 10 years, Clark Pena, a spokesman for the American Car Service said.
Family and co-workers gathered at Lincoln Hospital Sunday, where the 33-year-old is listed in serious but stable condition .
"We are praying for Marcos and hope he will recover from this terrifying experience," Pena said.
