1. Kate Spade Found Dead of Apparent Suicide in NYC Home

Fashion icon Kate Spade died of an apparent suicide inside her Park Avenue apartment. 

The designer was found dead in her Tuesday morning along with a note telling her 13-year-old daughter it was not her fault. 

The 55-year-old created a handbag line in the 1990s with her husband and went on to build a fashion empire. 

Tributes for Spade poured in with fellow designers, celebrities and even Ivanka Trump mourning her death.

2. Lord & Taylor Leaving Iconic Fifth Avenue Location in NYC

One of New York City's most iconic department stores is about to close its doors. 

Lord & Taylor says it is going to close its flagship Fifth Avenue store by the end of next year. The building that housed the department store since 1914 was sold off to WeWork last week. 

The company says it plans to focus on online sales.

3. Miss America Scraps Its Swimsuit Competition

The Miss America pageant will look a lot different this year. 

The pageant says it is replacing its swimsuit competition and that contestants won't be judged based on their looks anymore.

The head of the organization -- former Fox News anchor Gretchen Carlson -- says it's a growth out of the #MeToo movement.

4. Museum of Ice Cream Opening 'The Pint Shop' in NYC

The Museum of Ice Cream is coming back to New York City -- and this time you can bring it with you. 

The museum is launching "The Pint Shop" in the Meatpacking District Wednesday. Visitors can browse through an immersive grocery store as they learn about the ice cream making process -- and taste some signature flavors. 

It will be open six days a week.
