1. New Marijuana Summons Policy Coming to NYC

The NYPD just made a major change in how it will handle marijuana cases. 

Mayor de Blasio and NYPD Commissioner James P. O'Neill announced that starting Sept. 1 New Yorkers with no prior record who are found smoking marijuana will receive a summons and will not be arrested.

The change could keep 10,000 people out of handcuffs every year, according to de Blasio, who says you still shouldn't light up on the city streets.

2. Metro-North Train Rider Plugs In Sprawling PlayStation 4 Setup, Games Away

A Metro-North rider made manspreading look tame. 

The rider got way too comfortable on the train last week, turning a four-seater into his own personal game room. 

He is seen plugging in a monitor, and PlayStation 4. He then kicked his shoes off and gamed on the train. Some riders posted pictures of the unusual sighting on Instagram.

3. Beer, Hard Cider Ice Cream May Soon Be a Thing in New York

Do you like beer? How about ice cream? Do you like the duo combined?

Well, it could be happening soon in New York. 

Lawmakers just passed a bill that could legalize beer and hard cider ice cream. It will become law of Gov. Cuomo signs the bill. 

Wine-infused ice cream has been legal in the Empire State since 2008.
