    1. Another Wintry Mess Moves in Wednesday as Volatile Temperature Swings Continue

    Tri-state residents are bracing for yet another wintry mix of snow and rain expected to hit the region Wednesday afternoon through the overnight hours, potentially making the Thursday morning commute a bit slick for some.

    Clouds are expected to build in late after a sunny day Tuesday, paving the way for the next storm system, Storm Team 4 says. The first part of Wednesday should stay dry; precipitation associated with this system is expected to begin as snow in the afternoon, then quickly change to rain as temps rise above freezing.

    3. Winners of Biggest-Ever NY Lotto Prize ($437M) Come Forward

    A group of 23 co-workers in Long Island claimed the largest jackpot in New York Lottery history — one totaling $437 million!

    The group claimed the prize Tuesday for the Jan. 1 Mega Millions drawing through the New Life 2019, LLC, opting to take the cash value of the annuitized prize, a single lump sum payment totaling $262,213,914, according to the New York Lottery. The group will receive a net check of $176,155,308 after required state and federal withholding.
