1. Woman Details Chilling Last Word in NYC Boy's Machete Slay

"Water."

That was the last word 15-year-old Lesandro "Junior" Guzman-Feliz spoke when he was savagely killed with a machete in a Bronx bodega last summer, a killing that rocked the city -- and the nation -- for its caught-on-camera brutality.

The first witness took the stand Monday after lengthy opening statements from the prosecution and defense attorneys for five suspected gang members, the first of 14 to stand trial.

2. US Measles Count Soars to 764, Driven by NY Outbreaks

Five dozen more measles cases have been reported across the nation, an 8 percent increase over the prior week as the case total in the U.S.' worst outbreak in decades edges closer to a stunning 800, officials said.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said 764 cases had been reported as of last Thursday.

It's the most in the U.S. since 1994, when 963 were reported, and has been fueled by outbreaks in New York.

3. Harry, Meghan 'Over the Moon' About Their Healthy Baby Boy

Britain's Duchess of Sussex gave birth to a baby boy morning and both Meghan and the baby are "doing well," Buckingham Palace confirmed.

The baby, who has not yet been named, weighs 7 pounds, 3 ounces, and palace officials say he was born at 5:26 a.m. Monday.

He is seventh in line for the British throne and is Queen Elizabeth II's eighth great-grandchild.
