1. Nearly 1 in 10 NYC Adults Were Depressed in 2016: Report

The results are in, New Yorkers. 

New York City conducted its first-ever report on mental health. It turns out nearly a 10th of all New York City adults experienced some sort of depression in 2016, but the majority did not get help with the highest percentage of cases in the Bronx. 

The Big Apple's Thrive NYC initiative provides free confidential mental health support all hours of the day, seven days a week if you or somebody you know needs it.

2. Trader Joe's Inching Closer to Opening? Job Fair Posted Online

One of New York City's favorite grocery stores may be opening sooner rather than later. 

The ever-so popular Trader Joe's posted a new job ad on Craigslist, announcing it will hold a job fair at the site of the new SoHo location on Spring Street. 

In 2017, the grocery chain revealed plans to open up locations in SoHo and on the Upper West Side in 2018, but the company never mentioned when.

3. You Have to Earn How Much to Buy a Home in NYC?

It's not really a secret that real estate in New York City is expensive, but just how much do you need to earn annually to buy a home in the Big Apple?

For somebody planning to purchase a home with a 10 percent down payment, they would need to earn $418,000 a year, according to a report. 

The average price of some digs in NYC is $1.6 million.
