    1. 3 Confirmed Cases of Mystery Illness Paralyzing Kids in NJ

    New Jersey has seen three confirmed cases of a rare paralyzing illness affecting children that has been on the rise throughout the country this year, its state Department of Health said.

    U.S. health officials said they’ve seen a jump in cases of the illness known as acute flaccid myelitis, with at least 62 confirmed cases in 22 states this year and at least 65 additional illnesses being investigated, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

    Three of the confirmed cases were in New Jersey, the New Jersey Department of Health said. The department is also investigating three additional reports of the illness, it said.

    2. Apple Adds Cream Cheese to Bagel Emoji Amid Uproar

    If anybody ever says internet outrage can't make a different then just show them the bagel emoji. 

    Apple actually changed the icon after people on social media called them out for an original one that looked like it came out of the freezer aisle. 

    This new has a little bit more of that bagel shop look and they even added cream cheese.

    3. MTA, NYPD Team Up for First Annual Haunted Subway

    Sometimes taking the subway can be a pretty scary proposition and now the MTA is brewing up something extra spooky for your next commute. 

    he NYPD Transit Bureau tweeted that the 14th Street/Union Square stop would be converted into a spooky station this Thursday and Friday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The haunt is described as "family-friendly."
