1. New York Daily News Cuts Its Editorial Staff in Half

It was a life-saving effort in Brooklyn on Sunday. 

Amazing video shows the NYPD talk down a man threatening to jump off the Williamsburg Bridge. 

Officers climbed to the top of the bridge and had to shimmy across 15 feet of suspension cable. The man was then lowered to safety in a harness.

2. Thousands Run in Annual Tunnel to Towers 5K

Thirty-thousand people took part in the annual Tunnel to Towers run over the weekend. 

The run is to pay tribute to the first-responders who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11. 

Runners followed the final footsteps of firefighter Stephen Siller. Seventeen years ago he ran from Brooklyn to the Twin Towers with 65 pounds of gear.

3. Dogs Learn Yiddish at Central Park

You can't teach an old dog new tricks, bu you can teach them a new language. 

New Yorkers schlepped over to Central Park over the weekend to teach their dog Yiddish. 

Dogs learned sit, stay and even catch.
