1. NJ Wrestler in Forced Haircut Video Is Targeted Again: Attorney

A New Jersey high school wrestler who was forced to cut off his dreadlocks before a match to avoid forfeiting was asked to cover his hair before another match this week — the result of an "unrelenting fixation" on the boy’s hair by wrestling officials, his attorney claims.

Buena Regional High School junior Andrew Johnson, 16, and his team were supposed to compete in a wrestling meet, attorney Dominic Speziali said in a letter sent to the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights, which is investigating the December incident.

A day before the meet, a referee contacted Buena’s athletic director and said Johnson would have to wear a covering over his now cut hair if he planned to participate in the meet, Speziali said.

2. NYC Ferry Is About to Hit All Five Boroughs

All aboard! NYC Ferry is about to hit all five boroughs. 

Mayor de Blasio says he is planning to add even more ferry routes in NYC, which includes one between Coney Island and Manhattan and one from the Bronx to the Navy Yard. 

Then another one from Staten Island to the west side of Manhattan.

One day, finding an oven that just cooks food may be as tough as buying a TV that merely lets you click between channels.

Internet-connected "smarts" are creeping into cars, refrigerators, thermostats, toys and just about everything else in your home. CES 2019, the gadget show opening Tuesday in Las Vegas, will showcase many of these products, including an oven that coordinates your recipes and a toilet that flushes with a voice command.

With every additional smart device in your home, companies are able to gather more details about your daily life.
