A landlord beat his tenant to death and then killed himself after a vicious dispute at a Jamaica, Queens home Tuesday.
Police said the 61-year-old landlord, Eulith Reid, bludgeoned the 48-year-old woman, Hattie Patterson, about the head. A second-floor tenant is said to have witnessed the fight.
Reid then stabbed himself in the neck and slit his wrists. A machete was found nearby.
Patterson lived in the basement apartment at the home on 143rd Street, police said. Reid lived on the first floor.
