Lamborghini Crashed, Left Burning Near George Washington Bridge; Owner Charged

A 33-year-old New Jersey man has been ticketed after allegedly crashing his Lamborghini and leaving it in flames near the George Washington Bridge early Monday.

Port Authority Police spokesman Joe Pentangelo says the black high-performance sports car was found on fire and unoccupied in the westbound lanes near the bridge toll plaza in Fort Lee.

The vehicle showed signs of a crash and sustained extensive fire damage.

Police later identified him as a resident of Palisades Park, and issued him tickets for leaving the scene of a crash and abandoning a vehicle.
