A school bus driver on Long Island has been fired for using duct tape to silence an unruly student.
The incident happened two weeks ago on a bus serving Frank P. Long Intermediate School in Bellport, N.Y.
The school district announced the firing Friday. The names of the driver and the student were not released.
Board of Education President Gregory Miglino Jr. said the driver was not being malicious but showed horrible judgment.
