Knife-Wielding Suspect Sought in East Harlem Robbery Pattern

The most recent robbery happened Saturday, when police say the suspect entered a building on East 106th Street and robbed a 45-year-old man

Police are searching for a man who has robbed at least three people at knifepoint in East Harlem this month.

The most recent robbery happened Saturday, when police say the suspect entered a building on East 106th Street and robbed a 45-year-old man of $230.

Police believe that last week the same knife-wielding suspect also robbed a 25-year-old man inside a building at East 109th Street and then a 24-year-old man inside an East 102nd Street building, taking money and cell phones.

In each case, the suspect cornered the victims inside their buildings and threatened them with a knife.

Authorities have released surveillance images of the suspect and a black van they believe may be his getaway vehicle.

Anyone with information about the robberies is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
