13 Kittens Abandoned on Staten Island Roadside Looking for Homes

Thirteen kittens abandoned inside a cardboard box on a Staten Island roadside are doing fine and looking to find homes.

The tiny felines were rescued on Saturday by Tracy Parisi, a volunteer for the Staten Island Council for Animal Welfare.

She says she's received over 60 emails from people wanting to adopt them. Two kittens already have found homes.

The kittens come from different litters, she says. Some are about 7 weeks old, while others are 10 to 12 weeks old.

All the kittens are being examined by a veterinarian, Parisi said.

Parisi told the Staten Island Advance that she rescued the animals after a friend walking his dog near Glen Street and South Avenue came upon the box.

Anyone interested in adopting the kittens can contact Parisi at tpsiny@yahoo.com.
