NY College Student Testifies About Torture During Kidnapping

A former University of Rochester student has testified about the torture he endured while he and a classmate were held hostage in a city home last year.

Twenty-two-year-old Nicholas Kollias told the court Thursday that he was shot in both legs and tortured along with Ani Okeke Ewo.

Kollias testified at the trial of four people charged with kidnapping and torturing the two then-senior students during a 40-hour-long ordeal in December. They're no longer enrolled at the college.

Authorities say the students were lured to a house in Rochester by a woman who contacted one of them online and said she wanted to meet them. The men were eventually rescued by a police SWAT team.

Five other people have pleaded guilty for their roles in the case.
