Smoke from a rubbish fire burning in a Brooklyn junkyard Wednesday could be seen for miles.
Chopper 4 over the scene shows plumes of thick black smoke billowing into the sky in Canarsie.
It's not clear what sparked the blaze at the plant at Ralph Avenue and Preston Court. The fire was under control by 7:30 p.m., the FDNY said.
City health officials say neighbors should close windows and try to stay indoors where smoke is present.
